I recently found out that not everyone was aware of the free materials online for the new AASL Standards. I thought I would reach out and share some links and resources that have recently been released for the standards.
- This is the AASL Standards Page: http://standards.aasl.org/
- The AASL Standards Framework for Learners (which is replacing the 21st Century Learning Standards) are freely available as they always have been here: http://standards.aasl.org/wp-content/uploads/2017/11/AASL-Standards-Framework-for-Learners-pamphlet.pdf
- If you are looking for templates, handouts, one page sheets, banners, PP, and more look here: http://standards.aasl.org/materials/.
**Next month a professional development presentation will be available for us to use in our systems which will be super handy on the materials page. - There is also a professional development page here: http://standards.aasl.org/pd/
The National School Library Standards for Learners, School Librarians, and School Libraries lists the standards in print but also combines the Standards in Action and Empowering Learners, two books which always had a cost. In other words three books in one! Here is the link: http://www.alastore.ala.org/detail.aspx?ID=12199%20
We hope this clears up some confusion regarding free vs costs associated with the New AASL National Library Standards.
